Ways to Give

Cash

When you make an outright cash contribution, your gift will make an immediate impact. The easiest, most direct way to make a gift is online via debit/credit card. You can also mail a check, cashier's check, or money order, made payable to the UCLA Foundation, to:

Pledges

If you'd like to donate to the university in installments or defer the bulk of your gift until a future date, a pledge is the answer. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time, allowing you to give more generously than you originally may have considered.  You can make a pledge online at UCLA's main giving site. If you already have a pledge established, you can make a pledge payment online as well.

Securities

Gifts of stock can provide significant tax benefits to you, while proving an invaluable investment in our students and faculty. It is almost always a better strategy to give appreciated securities directly to UCLA, rather than selling them and donating the proceeds of the sale. In many cases, the tax benefits associated with giving appreciated securities to UCLA will actually allow you to increase the size of your gift. If you own securities that have lost value, you can sell the stock, take the capital loss deduction, and make a gift to UCLA.

Real Estate

You can deed real property to The UCLA Foundation, in whole or in part, to benefit the university. You can also deed a home to UCLA—receive a sizable, personal tax deduction, yet still occupy your home for life. For more details, please contact the Office of Gift Planning at (800)737-8252.

Charitable Gift Annuities

You can make a gift to benefit UCLA Engineering, and continue to receive income in return. For more details, please contact the Office of Gift Planning at (800)737-8252.

Estate Gifts
